Despite political turmoil, rise of populism, and threats of nuclear war, the economists from IMF will be able to happily report during their annual meetings simultaneous growth in both major developed and emerging economies which hasn't happened in over 10 years.

IMF Managing Director, Christine Lagarde does caution despite higher percentage of global growth than expected there is still high levels of debt in many countries, increased inequality, and lack of infrastructure investment that could leave financial systems exposed to future crises.
